In today's interconnected world, the preservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) have become paramount. Engaging international institutions in cultural heritage development is key to ensuring the safeguarding and transmission of diverse cultural practices for future generations. Platforms like Jiagu Global Cultural Heritage Development Network (GCHN) play a crucial role in amplifying the voices and efforts of organizations and individuals involved in this important work.

GCHN serves as a hub for ethnocultural services/organizations, international academic institutions, community/governmental agencies, scholars, tradition bearers, and practitioners to come together to safeguard and develop ICH practices. Through events, activities, and projects, GCHN focuses on cultivating intercultural dialogues and providing resources, training, and support for communities and organizations working in the field of cultural heritage. Inspired by the UN Intangible Cultural Heritage and UNESCO, GCHN was founded with a mission to promote the appreciation and understanding of ICH, foster intercultural dialogue, and advocate for policies supporting its safeguarding and promotion. Since its establishment in 2024, GCHN has been dedicated to preserving and promoting ICH in the vibrant and diverse city of Toronto, Canada. The GCHN website serves as a comprehensive platform showcasing events, seminars, conferences, educational content, and partnerships in the realm of cultural heritage development. With a sign-up option for conferences, the website encourages user involvement and collaboration in efforts to safeguard and transmit intangible cultural heritage. By engaging international institutions in cultural heritage development, GCHN is paving the way for meaningful collaborations and exchange of knowledge and practices on a global scale. Together, we can work towards a future where the rich tapestry of cultural diversity is celebrated and preserved for generations to come.
